Nomination Process

Constitutional Article 6.2:

"Nominations for election shall be invited in the notice summoning the AGM, and shall close at the AGM, but not before the reception of the Chair’s and Treasurer’s reports. They must be proposed and seconded, and except in the case of nominations made at the AGM, shall be in writing signed by the proposer, seconder and candidate."

Nominations will be accepted in several ways:
1. electronically in advance of the AGM via an online form which the returning officer will be responsible for making available to members. Typically this would be included in the information sent out to members
2. via paper nomination forms which are available from the secretary, the returning officer or via the AGM calling notice. ("AGM-Pack" )

If you wish to submit the nominations by paper, you can submit nominations you can do so AT the AGM before the Nominations close, which will be after the treasurers report has been received.

In order to be eligible to stand, you will have to be a paid up member of the Liberal Democrats on the date when the AGM notice was issued and still be a member on the date of the AGM.
